Product Teams Framework for Forum Network Technology

The gist of the product teams approach is recognizing that great technology is essential to delivering our programs and creating the impact we want to have in the world. Each key technology system is treated as a "product" and managed by a team comprised of both technology people and "domain experts" who bring in-the-trenches programmatic and business process knowledge. Most importantly, though, products are resourced and managed on a permanent, ongoing basis, not as one-time, "big-bang" initiatives.

Ms. Moore Goes to Dreamforce

During the week of October 13-16, over 135,000 descended upon downtown San Francisco to attend Dreamforce, the annual conference held by Salesforce. Representatives from almost every industry including nonprofits and philanthropy attended over 1,400 breakout sessions, several keynotes, expos of products, and training opportunities. Among them were representatives from five regional associations and the Forum.

A Mid-Year Update on the KM Initiative

While not every regional participates in KM, it is one of the longest running and fastest growing programs in the Forum Network with 24 regional association participating. The platform developed through KM provides the technological backbone for many of the services the Forum offers—and now most regionals as well.
