This report and the accompanying case studies share the experiences of a group of “early adopters” from within the Council of Michigan Foundation’s membership—Michigan foundations that have been deeply involved in efforts to transform their organizations’ internal cultures, policies, and practices, as well as their engagement with community stakeholders and partners. These leaders in advancing diversity and inclusion within the philanthropic sector all participated in Transforming Michigan Philanthropy through Diversity and Inclusion’s Diversity and Inclusion Peer Action Learning Network.
