Presidential candidate Joe Biden released a plan to fund his educational goals by limiting the value of itemized deductions. This plan proposes a cap on the charitable deduction at 28 percent. The Charitable Giving Coalition, of which United Philanthropy Forum is a member, responded with a press release to encourage Vice President Biden to reconsider his proposal and instead support a universal charitable deduction.
