The Forum conducted a scan of regional and national philanthropy-serving organizations (PSOs) in February through May 2018 to get a more comprehensive understanding of PSOs’ current work and future needs to advance racial equity in philanthropy. The scan reflects the input of 43 regional and national PSOs that participated in the scan survey and/or the scan interviews, representing more than half of the Forum’s membership...

On June 22, 2020, the Forum submitted comments encouraging the Federal Reserve System to include a loan forgiveness provision and not to exclude nonprofits with less than 50 employees in the Main Street Lending Program to provide access to credit for nonprofit organizations (which are often led by and serve communities of color, communities hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic).
A broad, nationwide coalition of 501(c)(3) organizations, made up of charitable nonprofits, including religious institutions, philanthropy serving organizations, and foundations, delivered a clear message to Congress: maintain the current law that protects nonprofit organizations from being hounded for partisan political contributions and endorsements.
