This webinar will confront this crisis using a “housing justice” framework to address student homelessness, with an emphasis on youth and young adults. We will connect the dots between national advocacy on affordable housing, homelessness and education justice, featuring a report from the Annie E. Casey Foundation and showcasing their grantmaking strategies at this intersection.
Planning for the 2030 Census is underway, and responses to the ongoing American Community Survey (ACS) are decreasing, so philanthropy, led by PSOs, has an important role to play in addressing the Census Bureau's persistent undercounting of people of color, young children, and other under-represented populations. An accurate population count is the foundation for full access to our democracy, as well as for the fair and effective allocation of public and philanthropic resources.
This session is an affinity space for BIPOC equity capacity builders working within organizations, as consultants, and/or in communities and networks.
Too often, we are disconnected from our sources of replenishment and nourishment, especially when the demands on our time and energies are extreme (as they have been for some time). This session is designed to help us reconnect with our center at all times, and especially in times of turmoil, internal and external pressure.
