This policy brief examines creative scholarship models that meet the needs of underserved students, often by moving beyond monetary aid in the direction of wrap-around student supports. Giving by Florida’s foundations reached a record-high $1.5 billion in 2013, increasing 15 percent from the previous year and 50 percent over a 10-year period, according to a new report by Florida Philanthropic Network, Florida’s statewide association of grantmakers.
