Beyond Traditional Scholarships
This policy brief examines creative scholarship models that meet the needs of underserved students, often by moving beyond monetary aid in the direction of wrap-around student supports. While continuing to provide financial relief for income-qualified students, a number of these programs couple academic supports along with financial assistance in order to address non-monetary needs that often impede completion.

The Forum's President & CEO latest blog looks at a newly released study by the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation that is a first-of-its-kind study of how U.S. foundations access and use knowledge about effective philanthropy. A key finding of the study is that foundations’ most trusted source of information and knowledge about philanthropic practice is their peers, and Forum member PSOs play an important role in this regard.
