The weekend of August 12, 2017 saw white nationalists from across the country march through Charlottesville, VA in protest to the planned removal of a statue of Confederate military leader Robert E. Lee. In response hundreds of counter protestors demonstrated in opposition. In an act of terrorism, one white supremacist drove his car at high speeds through a crowd of counter protesters resulting in the death of Heather Heyer, a 32-year-old woman, and at least 19 other people were injured. We stand with our partners in the field in condemning the racism, hate and violence. We are compiling a list of responses, news items, resources and programming.
