On November 9, 2015, john a. powell of the Haas Institute for a Fair and Inclusive Society and Jeanné Isler, Field Director at the National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy presented at Philanthropy New York to explore the question - how does implicit bias influence the effectiveness of our philanthropy? Pulling from powell’s extensive research on the subject and an issue of NCRP’s Responsive Philanthropy, the speakers led an interactive session exploring the definitions of Implicit Bias, how it affects all of us as individuals, and how it impacts the decisions and trends in our philanthropic institutions.
