Dear Forum Friends & Colleagues,
I am writing to let you know that I have informed United Philanthropy Forum’s Board of Directors and staff that I plan to retire at the end of 2023.
Serving as President & CEO of United Philanthropy Forum for the past 7+ years has been the highlight of my professional career. I am proud of our progress together to grow and strengthen the Forum’s impact in our sector. Thank you for being a part of that experience.
The Forum Board will be working on a plan to search for the Forum’s next CEO and will be in touch with the Forum’s membership to share those plans as they are developed. The Forum is in a solid financial position; we have a strong employee team and a strong board. I am confident that together with the next CEO, our staff and board will ensure that the Forum continues to make the greatest possible impact to advance the work of our network and sector, working as partners with our network, as we strive for our vision of a courageous philanthropic sector that catalyzes a just and equitable society where all can participate and prosper.
I would like to thank everyone in the Forum network who has provided me with support, guidance, thought partnership, and friendship over the years. One thing that has kept me motivated and energized about doing this work has been the honor and privilege of working with all of the smart, dedicated, and fun people in our network. I hope to see many of you in person at the Forum’s annual conference in July.
Be well,
David Biemesderfer
President & CEO
