New Study Explores Career Pathways of People of Color in Philanthropy

Monday, June 9, 2014
Philanthropic Paths: An Exploratory Study of the Career Pathways of People of Color in Philanthropy, a new report commissioned by the D5 Coalition from Forward Change, provides an examination of the career pathways of people of color in philanthropy.
Capturing the experiences of 43 professionals of color ranging from CEOs to Program Officers and representing an array of foundations, the insights and perspectives in the report provide key learnings about how foundation staff of color advanced professionally within the sector, and what factors helped or hindered that trajectory. The report also offers critical guidance for future research and strategy development to ensure that professionals of color have the opportunity to reach the senior-most ranks of the sector.
D5 recently hosted a webinar with the report’s authors, and the response was overwhelmingly positive. Watch the webinar here
