In 2016, Funders Together to End Homelessness included racial equity as a priority in it's strategic plan. Funders Together are committed to a learning journey both internally and externally to understand racial justice and how structural and historical racism contribute to disparities in housing and homelessness. Since the release of the strategic plan, it made progress towards this priority. This year, Funders Together's Board of Directors recognized that while naming racial equity in the strategic plan is important, it needed to reexamine it's mission and vision and move it's internal commitment to a public promise of action of working towards a more equitable world.
In conjunction with it's Board of Directors and in solidarity with efforts to end homelessness through antiracist work, Funders Together are sharing Funders Together to End Homelessness Commitment to Racial Equity.
