Funders for LGBTQ Issues Awards Latest Round of Grants from Out in the South Fund

Forum member Funders for LGBTQ Issues has awarded its second round of grants from the Out in the South Fund, providing more than $500,000 to build LGBTQ funds and funding collaboratives across the region in 2017.

The Out in the South Fund aims to build up sustainable sources of locally rooted LGBTQ funding in order to strengthen the capacity of local community organizations making a positive impact on the lives of LGBTQ Southerners.

The fund is possible thanks to The Arcus Foundation, The Chartrand Family Foundation, The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, The Freeman Foundation, Laughing Gull Foundation, The Amy Mandel and Katina Rodis Fund, and an anonymous donor.
