Friday, September 10, 2021

United Philanthropy Forum is excited to welcome three philanthropy leaders from across the country to our Board of Directors, as elected by the Forum’s membership.

Elected to the Forum’s Board of Directors for a first three-year term are Kari McCann Boutell, President, Iowa Council of Foundations; Amalia Brindis Delgado, Esq., Associate Vice President of Strategy, Hispanics in Philanthropy; and Kristen Ruff, Senior Vice President, Philanthropy New York.

We are also pleased to officially welcome Deborah Aubert Thomas, President & CEO, Philanthropy Ohio, who stepped in to fill a vacancy left by departing Director Kiran Ahuja. Aubert Thomas will fill Ahuja’s vacated term through July 22, 2023.

Our renewing directors elected to a second three-year term are Ret Boney, Executive Director, North Carolina Network of Grantmakers; Kristen Cambell, Executive Director, Philanthropy for Active Civic Engagement (PACE); and Philip Li, President & CEO, Robert Sterling Clark Foundation.

“I am thrilled to have this amazing team of philanthropy leaders join the Forum for such a necessary service to the organization,” said David Biemesderfer, President and CEO, United Philanthropy Forum. “I am doubly pleased to also have returning members set to work with us for the next three years. Our organization has experienced transformative levels of success and agency over the past several years. I am very much looking forward to what our future holds through the active planning and work of this Board, along with the ongoing efforts of the Forum team and the support of our members.”
