We are excited to announce the appointment of Mishka Parkins as United Philanthropy Forum’s new Member Engagement Manager. Joining the Forum team on February 26, Mishka will manage the Forum’s member programming, facilitate networking among Forum members, and engage with our key external partners. Mishka will be a key point of contact for all Forum members, helping our members maximize their engagement in the Forum network in order to increase the effectiveness and impact of philanthropy across the country.
Prior to joining the Forum, Mishka worked for the International Economic Development Council, where she led several research, training, and technical assistance projects. She has authored publications on a wide range of economic development topics and has instructed training sessions for elected officials in the United States and Canada. Mishka also worked as a Commercial Real Estate Analyst and market editor for the CoStar Group, Inc. Outside of her full-time career, she explores creative pursuits as a freelance graphic designer.
Mishka holds MA degrees from Washington Adventist University and George Washington University. She earned her BS from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, College Park.
