A new United Philanthropy Forum report gives the most up-to-date data on the employment practices of regional and national philanthropy-serving organizations (PSOs). The 2019 Compensation & Benefits for Philanthropy-Serving Organizations report provides detailed compensation and benefits information to help PSOs learn from their peers and benchmark themselves against similar organizations. The report also looks at trends in PSO staff retention and recruitment, as well as trends in PSO staff and board diversity data.
The report shows a notable increase in the racial and ethnic diversity of PSOs’ staffs and board over the past two years. Other key findings include a gradual overall increase in the size of PSOs’ staffs and an acceleration in PSO staff turnover.
