Alan Kwok from Northern California Grantmakers and Kendall Clawson from Grantmakers of Oregon and Southwest Washington will share on-the-ground updates of what’s happening in their respective regions; how you and your members can help, in the short term and longer term; the discussions going on right now with their members and others about how these disasters connect to climate change, and a few other issues. Speaking of climate change, Jeff Wise from the Health and Environmental Funders Network will share some updates on HEFN’s Climate, Health, and Equity work. Also, he lives in Seattle and can speak from his own personal experience.

Hurricane Florence: How to Help

The effects of Hurricane Florence are ongoing and worsening in many parts of North Carolina. Immediate relief efforts are underway, and long-term recovery and rebuilding will be required for the foreseeable future. With this in mind, our member North Carolina Network of Grantmakers is compiling information and resources related to the philanthropic response in the state.
