Dedicated to Systems Change: Philanthropy Using Public Policy to Impact Racial Equity

Earlier this year, United Philanthropy Forum released its first-ever Public Policy Principles document. Used to help guide the Forum’s advocacy work for the 117th Congress, these principles seek to allow the Forum to address racial inequities, advocate on behalf of the sector, and identify practical public policy solutions that catalyze a just and equitable society where all can participate and prosper.

Similarly, across the sector many PSOs and foundations have engaged in this work or are starting to engage in this work in various capacities, moving beyond traditional sector policy issues. This session will explore the intersectionality of racial equity issues and how PSOs can address them via public policy and advocacy.
