Since at least 2006, the philanthropic sector has been working with regulators on DAF regulations to define, clarify and hold accountable DAFs and their sponsoring organizations. Lawmakers have recently begun to explore some of these issues as well. While there are disagreements about the best path forward on some issues, we can all agree the conversation is not going away.
United Philanthropy Forum, the Council on Foundations, and Independent Sector have each taken a different approach in looking at these issues and engaging with their respective memberships. This session will explore what these organizations have learned from their members and potential paths forward.
