On Monday, September 26th, the Forum will host our second webinar in our series regarding the American Rescue Plan (ARPA) and why it’s such a critical tool for funders to support long-term community empowerment and equity. Kicking off at 1:00pm EST, this 90-minute webinar will explore why and how funders should engage with ARPA to promote rural equity.
Designed specifically for PSOs to bring awareness to their members about ARPA, this in-depth discussion will go over policy and on-the-ground implications of the legislation and provide examples of funders and state level organizations investing through multiple strategies to make sure that these once-in-a-generation infusions of public funds benefit those typically left out, including rural people and places.
Special guest speakers:
- Kelly Allen, Executive Director, West Virginia Center on Budget and Policy
- Marcus Bass, Executive Director, Advance Carolina
- Tony Pipa, Senior Fellow - Global Economy and Development, Center for Sustainable Development, Brookings Institute
- Joy Vermillion Heinsohn, Philanthropy Liaison, State of North Carolina
