Based on the groundbreaking Spring issue of The Foundation Review — the first edition dedicated to the practice of philanthropy consulting —the National Network of Consultants to Grantmakers (NNCG) is presenting a series of seven webinars that will dive deeper into many of the publication’s article topics.

The webinar series is co-sponsored by the Council on Foundations, the Forum of Regional Associations of Grantmakers, The Foundation Center, Learn Philanthropy, Northern California Grantmakers, and The Foundation Review.

Family foundations come with a unique set of dynamics, like their dedication to preserving a legacy and to sharing decision-making among family members. These dynamics are often a significant influence on a foundation’s governance and operations, and they can also extend to how family foundations’ experiences with consultants differ from those of other foundations or nonprofits. In this webinar, our presenters will explore common experiences that lead family foundation to seek external help and what these foundations can learn from the experiences of their peers.

Presenters: Mary Phillips and Judy Sneath, GMA Foundations, and Melissa Nemon, Sillerman Centerre.
