Africa Grantmakers' Affinity Group (AGAG) Funder Discussion Series, "Support Beyond the Check: Navigating the Impact of COVID-19".

The purpose of this six-week discussion series is to provide a forum where the Africa funding community can connect and share information in navigating the impact of the COVID-19 virus.

April 9, 2020 - 1:15 pm EST

Topic: "Lessons from Ebola: Implications for Funders in Responding to COVID-19"

This discussion is a follow up to last week's question: how can funders identify and respond to immediate needs and position themselves to respond when the long-term impact on organizations surfaces in a few years? This week we will explore how the lessons from the impact of the Ebola epidemic in West Africa can be useful to funders in responding to the impact of COVID-19.

Guest Speaker: Marion Subah, Country Director, Liberia, Last Mile Health
Moderator: Yvonne Moore, Principal Advisor, Moore Philanthropy

The discussion series began on March 26 and will end on April 30th. It is held every Thursday and alternates between 9:15 am and 1:15 pm.
