Pop-up Roundtable Conversation: Serving, Leading, and Bridging: How Do PSOs Decide When to Play Each Role?

When supporting philanthropy, PSOs can play three roles: (1) they can play a serving role by meeting the current needs articulated by philanthropy; (2) they can play a leading role by pushing philanthropy in what PSOs see as the most beneficial direction; and (3) they can play a bridging role by cultivating relationships across differences. When should PSOs play each role? How should they decide? What are the implications of their decisions? In this pop-up roundtable, we will grapple with these questions and discuss how PSOs can work individually and collectively to increase philanthropy's impact.
