For decades, philanthropy-serving organizations (PSOs) have created common grant applications to streamline the grantmaking and grant-seeking processes. Foundations have used common grants to help nonprofits decrease the burdens and costs of fundraising. However, with the advent of online applications, the use of common applications has waned.
