5 Ways Philanthropy Can Build Intersectional Power by Supporting the Reproductive Justice Movement

We stand with everyone who feels sickened and outraged by the Supreme Court and state governments stripping away abortion rights. What is philanthropy's way to fight back? Funding reproductive justice, a framework developed by Black women, which makes a call to fully embody an intersectional approach by connecting abortion access, birth justice, climate and economic justice, and many forms of bodily autonomy, including freedom from state violence. In this panel, we give our recommendations for five actionable, powerful philanthropic giving strategies — and one major pitfall to avoid — that will help move the reproductive justice movement forward.
