The Forum’s 2022 Annual Meeting will be an opportunity for Forum members to vote on renewing the terms of some current Forum Directors, celebrate our volunteer leaders and their contributions, look back on Forum highlights of the past year and look ahead to the future.
Over the last 2+ years we’ve witnessed regional and national philanthropy-serving organizations stepping up in new and expanded ways as essential leadership organizations in the philanthropy sector. As documented in a new United Philanthropy Forum report, in responding to the pandemic PSOs adapted, shifted and rethought their work, often on the fly, as they advanced , mobilized, convened, informed and, yes, supported philanthropy. The report noted that, “within PSOs and their networks, the pandemic didn’t start change as much as accelerate it. And there’s a future angle at work—how that response is in turn leading to even greater evolutions still.” In this session, four PSO leaders will reflect on what we’ve learned during the pandemic about the role and value of PSOs in the sector, and what it means for the future of PSOs.
