Building a Healthier Rural America During and After COVID-19 (Sponsored By Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy)

Inequities of race, socio-economic, health, and digital connectivity in rural communities have been compounded during the COVID-19 crisis. Join a diverse panel of young leaders (Presidential Leadership Scholars) to discuss the challenges, opportunities, and innovations to "bring rural communities back better" during and after the crisis. With a focus on community development, public health, social enterprise, health care, and nonprofit capacity, you'll engage with the panel through data sharing, storytelling, interactive polling, virtual small group breakouts, Q&A/participant feedback, and surveys. The session will provide shared expertise and resources you can replicate across rural and urban communities; help educate and engage national organizations/funders on rural community needs; offer innovative partnership opportunities; and connect your PSO with young leaders who can serve as rural navigation consultants to maximize your PSOs engagement in rural communities.
