Organizations with strong operational cores are able to engage and serve their constituents at a higher-quality and at scale. In this session, we’ll discuss what makes up an operational core, how to improve it, and how to sustain its strength. In particular, we’ll focus on databases and how these can make or break operational excellence. We will discuss what a healthy database looks like and the value it can bring. Using examples from other PSOs and nonprofits who have had success, we’ll share strategies for supporting a healthy database, in areas ranging from leadership engagement to investment in infrastructure and staff to training and accountability.
This session will be interactive-- attendees will have opportunities to engage with each other to discuss their challenges, questions, and feedback. It’s recommended for people in leadership roles who are responsible for overseeing or in some way directing organizational operations. It’s also recommended for individuals in operations roles, including those who help manage your organization's contacts, events, and other data.
