A Northern California Grantmakers program
Our world is constantly changing, evolving. We’re faced with issues we could never have contemplated a generation ago as well as those we’ve struggled with for many generations. And all of us are challenged to contemplate our role in addressing these issues which affect our communities.
This year’s Corporate Philanthropy Institute (CPI), Be Courageous, will explore how companies are taking bold steps to positively impact communities around the world, addressing those complicated and controversial issues ranging from human trafficking to climate change. Courage manifests through actions such as publishing diversity data or providing transparency into environmental impacts of the supply chain. Our ever-evolving world is also requiring that companies engage with NGO partners, employees and civil society in new ways – through philanthropy and other business integration efforts.
The 2016 Corporate Philanthropy Institute presented by Northern California Grantmakers (NCG) and Silicon Valley Community Foundation (SVCF), will explore how companies and corporate responsibility professionals are being courageous through their work, where this dynamic field is headed and the necessary skills for practitioners to thrive.
